Are you eligible for free common area lighting upgrades?

Upgrade Your Building at No Cost

Buildings in Brooklyn and Queens may be eligible for free lighting upgrades in common areas through Con Edison's Neighborhood Program. UHAB can help you apply and connect to a preapproved contractor.

Through the Neighborhood Program, your building can switch to LED lights at no cost. LED lights use as little as half as much energy as traditional lightbulbs, and last for up to fifteen years. Con Edison will pay the contractor directly, so no contribution is required from your building.

The Neighborhood Program is currently available in certain areas of Brooklyn and Queens with a high energy load, including Bushwick, Bedstuy, Crown Heights, East New York, and Williamsburg.

To find out if your building is eligible, contact Clara at weinstein@uhab.org or (212) 479-3337.
